Year Review: My Best and Worst trade for 2014

In a year of substantial growth for in US equities, Serge Berger, better known as The Steady Trader, recalls that his best call of the past year was maintaining a long position on momentum stocks.

Serge states that the rapid growth of these stocks was a little nerve-wracking as talks of a bubble were omnipresent; however, having the discipline to maintain his position in momentum stocks proved to be a profitable lesson for Serge.

At the time, his viewpoint on large cap stocks was not as optimistic. He called a cap on the market, which experienced a correction back in October. A rally to the upside followed the correction, contrary to his more cautious outlook.
