One of the more important aspects to successful analysis of the markets is to look at things in absolute as well as in relative terms. Technical analysis allows us to overlay charts of stocks with sector ETFs for example. When we do so the relative strength/weakness of stocks becomes much more apparent and trading opportunities present themselves.
