This week will be all about Thursday’s European Central Bank meeting where increasingly a quantitative easing program is expected to be unleashed. For those of us actively putting capital to work, as opposed to theorists or academics hypothesising about Thursday’s outcome, the odds for making profitable trades is likely to decreases from now until Thursday.
Take it from someone that battles at the front on a daily basis, this game gets much easier when we just skip the low probability times. In other words, as I like to say – when in doubt stay out. Just because the markets are open does not mean one has to make a trade. Wait for the opportune time and let the price come to your buy point.
